BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 5, 2023) – Wednesday afternoon, two drivers suffered injuries in a traffic crash on 7th Standard Road and Scaroni Avenue.
 
The incident happened at about 1:05 p.m. on 7th Standard Road and Scaroni Avenue.
 
According to reports, one of the drivers steered into oncoming traffic. Then, it crashed with another driver.
 
Due to the crash, the big rig crashed into a large PG&E tower with high-voltage lines.
 
After the crash, the big rig driver sustained major injuries and required hospitalization. Meanwhile, the other driver sustained moderate to minor injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the CHP shut down the roadway for a few hours as they worked to clear the roadway.
