2 Killed in Rollover Crash on 5 Freeway [Coalinga, CA]

2 Fatally Injured in Rollover Accident near South El Dorado Avenue

 
COALINGA, CA (May 13, 2019) – Two unidentified people were killed in a rollover crash on 5 Freeway, near South El Dorado Avenue Sunday morning.
 
The 9:30 a.m. crash happened on the southbound side of the freeway. Dispatchers arrived to the area soon after.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the victims died on scene. However, their identities remain unknown at this time.
 
According to reports, the red Ford Explorer SUV was traveling southbound on the freeway when it overturned. Witnesses rushed to the scene to help the victims, but it had been too late.
 
The details surrounding whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident are still under investigation.
