Two Killed, Six Hurt after San Dimas Multi-Vehicle Accident on 10 Freeway
SAN DIMAS, CA (July 1, 2019) — Two people died and six others suffered injuries in a multi-vehicle collision on 10 Freeway on Sunday, June 30.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the collision happened on the westbound freeway at Via Verde Street. Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene at 8:45 a.m.
A Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher said that the two people died at the scene.
A total of eight people were part of the accident including the two who died. Paramedics transported four people to an area hospital in unknown condition and the other two refused treatment at the crash site.
The CHP reported at about 9:44 a.m. that they will close Via Verde Street on-ramp. They later announced that the numbers 2, 3 and 4 lanes of the westbound 10 Freeway would be shut down for a few hours.
Caltrans later tweeted that lanes were reopened.
