Two Killed, One Hurt in Hawaiian Gardens Chain-Reaction Accident on Pioneer Boulevard
HAWAIIAN GARDENS, CA (October 14, 2019) – A chain-reaction accident on Pioneer Boulevard left two people dead on early Sunday, October 13.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lt. Carlos Girard stated that the collision happened at around 2:35 a.m. near the intersection of Pioneer Boulevard and Carson Street. The initial investigation suggests that an SUV crashed into a vehicle, which led to another collision involving a third car.
Occupants from the SUV and the vehicle that initially crashed suffered fatal injuries, Girard stated. Both died at the scene. Their identities were not immediately available.
One person inside the third car involved in the crash was rushed o a hospital. There was no information about the severity of that person’s injuries as of Sunday afternoon.
The incident remained under investigation. Authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol is a factor.
