4 Hospitalized after Whittier Multi-Vehicle Auto Collision near Whittier Boulevard

 
WHITTIER, CA (May 14, 2020) – Tuesday evening, two victims sustained critical injuries in a two-car accident near Whittier Boulevard.
 
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the incident happened around 10:10 p.m., near Whittier Boulevard and Broadway intersection.
 
Medics transported a total of four occupants to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Two sustained critical injuries, while the other two sustained moderate injuries.
 
In addition, firefighters had to extricate one person from the wreckage.
 
Meanwhile, a news photographer revealed that one of the vehicles crashed into a pole. However, none of the vehicles involved have been identified by the police.
 
Due to a lack of details, the events leading up to the collision remain unclear. Once available, further information will be given.
 
Towing services were requested in the area due to the extent of damage sustained. The surrounding area near Whittier Boulevard was closed off for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary investigation. However, the roadway has since reopened to traffic.
