2 Hospitalized after Clark County Pedestrian Accident
CLARK COUNTY, NV (September 30, 2019) – Two children sustained injuries after a Clark County school bus struck them on South Eastern Avenue.
The incident occurred just after 8:00 a.m. on South Eastern Avenue and East Oquendo Road.
According to reports, the two middle-school-age children who used the crosswalk at the time of the crash both went to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center. One of them sustained serious injuries while the other suffered minor. Meanwhile, reports revealed that the bus has no students on board.
The police revealed that the uninjured bus driver passed field sobriety tests.
Before the crash, the bus just dropped off students at Del Sol Academy of the Performing Art. While on its way to pick up Cannon Junior High School students from a bus stop, the accident happened.
Authorities closed the southbound Eastern Avenue and Oquendo Road at midmorning during the investigation. The Clark County School District police also came to the scene.
