2 Hospitalized after Reno Pedestrian Accident near Traner Middle School
RENO, NV (August 27, 2019) – Two 12-year-old Reno children suffered injuries, one critical, after a pedestrian accident on August 20.
According to the police, the two children, a boy and a girl, went to a local hospital. An SUV struck the two at around 7:10 a.m. while the walked across an intersection northeast of downtown on the way to Traner Middle School.
The boy didn’t suffer life-threatening injuries. However, the girl is in critical condition.
Meanwhile, the driver of the involved SUV stayed at the scene and cooperated in the investigation. However, authorities ruled out drugs or alcohol as a factor in the collision.
Reports revealed that the children used the crosswalk at the time of the crash. However, it’s still unknown whether the children had the right of way.
Authorities are still investigating the collision.
