Injuries Reported in Oakland Auto Accident near Sereno Circle and Redwood Road
OAKLAND, CA (February 19, 2023) – Saturday night, two children suffered injuries in a fiery crash near Sereno Circle and Redwood Road.
The incident happened just after 5:00 p.m. near Sereno Circle and Redwood Road.
According to Oakland Fire Department (OFD), a driver of a car lost control and rammed into an Oakland home.
Then, the car hit a gas meter which led to a fire.
As a result, the two children sustained “fairly minor” injuries, said OFD Battalion Chief James Bowron.
As of 7:48 p.m. after around 30 firefighters put off the fire, the blaze was controlled.
Meanwhile, the fire affected two homes and the fire was contained to a single garage.
Also, officers confirmed that no residents were in danger, and no evacuations are necessary at this time.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
