27-Year-Old Adrian Amaya Arrested after DUI Crash on State Route 99 in Turlock

Turlock, CA (March 23, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, two children sustained injuries in a DUI crash on State Route 99 in Turlock.

The crash on State Route 99 in Turlock happened around 1:13 a.m. March 19.

Turlock Police said the collision involved two vehicles.  The first one was a silver 2008 Saturn Outlook and the second one was a maroon 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe. 

The maroon Tahoe had rolled over and was on its roof. The Tahoe driver, 27-year-old Adrian Amaya of Atwater, had been ejected and was laying in the middle of N Walnut Rd next to the freeway.

EMS ground transported the two children to a local hospital while Amaya was air transported by PHI Air Medical Services to a local hospital. 

The silver Outlook sustained moderate damage, while the maroon Tahoe sustained major damage.

CHP arrested Amaya for driving under the influence of alcohol causing bodily injury to another person and then released him to the hospital for treatment.
