2 Children Injured after Car Accident on Mast Boulevard and Halburn Boulevard [Santee, CA]

2 Hospitalized after Santee Car Accident

SANTEE, CA (December 20, 2018) – Two children sustained injuries following a car accident in Santee on December 18.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department revealed that the incident occurred about 9:39 p.m. on Mast Boulevard and Halburn Boulevard. The deputies were able to find out that a northbound vehicle on Halberns Boulevard drove despite the red light and crashed with a westbound car on Mast Boulevard, sheriff’s Sgt. Aaron Montan stated.

As a result of the crash, the westbound vehicle driver sustained injuries, and two children were transported to Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego with non-life threatening injuries. However, it was not clarified whether the vehicle driver that was hit received treatment at the area or was transported to a hospital.

The vehicle driver that drove despite the red light sustained minor injuries and received treatment at the area.

Alcohol was ruled out as a factor in the crash which remains under active investigation.
