KENT, WA (August 27, 2020) – Tuesday night, two children suffered injuries after a hit-and-run crash on 281st Street.

The incident occurred in the 19800 block of SE 281st Street in Kent. According to reports, a male pickup truck driver struck a 5-year-old and 2-year-old driving a children’s toy Barbie Jeep. Then, the driver fled the scene.

Responders transported both children to Harborview Medical Center with injuries.

Then, officials detained the 26-year-old suspect for DUI around half a mile away from the area.

At this time, the authorities didn’t disclose the condition of the children.

The perverse actions of a reckless driver can increase the likelihood of traffic collisions. If you are a driver, pay close attention to those around you. Always keep a considerable distance from others just in case harm is near.
