Reckless Driver Causes 2-Vehicle Accident on 187th Street
Pierce County, WA (May 2, 2023) On Sunday, a 2-car crash on State Route 167 left 2 drivers with injuries.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the 2-vehicle accident happened at the turn lane of SR 167 at 187th Street.
Reports say that a northbound car failed to yield for a red light and struck another car turning onto westbound 187th Street.
Authorities say that after failing to yield, the northbound car veered off the road to the east side of SR 167 and stopped after colliding with a pole.
Officials say that the driver of the car that did not yield, identified as a 33-year-old man from Puyallup, was transported to St. Joes Hospital for injuries suffered in th crash. Officials say that charges are pending for the driver.
Meanwhile, a 44-year-old woman from Puyallup was driving the other vehicle, she suffered unspecified injuries but was not transported.
