2 Injured in Auto Collision near Bear Valley Road in Apple Valley

 
APPLE VALLEY, CA (April 6, 2020) – Wednesday evening, two people were airlifted to the hospital after a two-car crash on Deep Creek Road.
 
Emergency personnel arrived to the scene around 10:00 p.m. The collision involved a gray 2005 Dodge Dakota and a gray 2019 Hyundai Accent.
 
The Hyundai was heading west on Bear Valley Road when it attempted to turn left at the intersection. There, the vehicles eventually collided.
 
Moreover, two people sustained injuries due to the impact. Medics took one to St. Mary’s Hospital before they were later airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for further treatment.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics also took the other patient to Desert Valley Hospital before they were later airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center for further treatment.
 
Furthermore, both identities currently remain unreleased due to pending family notification. Additionally, further details leading up to the collision remain unclear.
 
The surrounding area on Deep Creek Road was closed off for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the roadway has since reopened.
 
At this time, the investigation remains ongoing. Once available, more details will be given.
