19-Year-Old Passenger Injured in Gunderson Road Vehicle Crash [North Kitsap, WA]

North Kitsap, WA (February 4, 2025) – A passenger was injured following a vehicle crash on Gunderson Road Saturday afternoon.

The rollover collision happened around 4:30 p.m. in North Kitsap.

The driver, a 19-year-old man, admitted he was speeding when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road. He lost control of the 2015 Honda Accord and it rolled over.

The driver was able to free himself, but his 21-year-old passenger was trapped inside the vehicle.

Immediately, the rescuers freed the passenger and airlifted him to a hospital.

The driver was treated for minor injuries and was later booked into the county jail in Port Orchard. 

Officers said the driver’s blood alcohol level was at .199, more than twice the legal limit.
