JACKSON, CA (November 15, 2022) – Sunday night, a 19-year-old man died in a pedestrian crash on State Highway 49 and Scottsville Boulevard.

The incident happened at around 10:35 p.m. near the intersection of State Highway 49 and Scottsville Boulevard.

According to reports, a southbound 2021 white Ford F-350 struck a male pedestrian kneeling in the roadway for reasons still unknown. Also, authorities said that the Ford driver swerved in an attempt to avoid the pedestrian but to no avail. Then, a vehicle behind the Ford saw what happened and swerved as well.

Moreover, officials confirmed that the 19-year-old male pedestrian succumbed to his injuries and later died at the scene.

Furthermore, both the Ford and the second vehicle driver remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.
