1 Dead and 2 Seriously Injured in Thurston County Accident on Northbound I-5
THURSTON COUNTY, WA (August 30, 2020) – Early Saturday morning, a 17-year-old driver died in a head-on crash on northbound I-5.
The incident occurred at about 3:00 a.m. just south of the Nisqually River Bridge.
According to troopers, the 17-year-old driver headed south on northbound 5 Freeway. However, he crashed head-on with another vehicle. As a result, he sustained fatal injuries.
Meanwhile, the passenger and the driver of the other vehicle, a male and a female, both sustained serious injuries.
The troopers revealed that drugs or alcohol were factors in the fatal crash on northbound I-5.
At this time, none of the vehicles involved have been identified by the police. Furthermore, there have been no updates regarding the current condition of the injured victims.
The crash remains under active investigation.
