1 Dead in Las Vegas Auto Accident on Sands Avenue
LAS VEGAS, NV (August 4, 2020) – Late Monday morning, a 16-year-old girl died in a single-vehicle crash on Sands Avenue.
At about 9:00 a.m., a speeding vehicle traveled west on Sands Avenue near Las Vegas Boulevard. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, the vehicle driver lost control and crashed into a wall on the north side of Sands Avenue.
Moreover, they said that three people occupied the 2017 Toyota Corolla. Meanwhile, the authorities suspect that the driver was a juvenile with no license.
Due to the crash, the driver and an adult backseat passenger suffered injuries and were taken to the hospital.
Meanwhile, the female juvenile who sat in the front passenger seat succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
Furthermore, the authorities revealed that they suspect impairment as a factor. The police also obtained a blood draw search warrant for the Toyota driver.
The crash remains under active investigation.
