Fatality Reported in Collision Near US 40
Kansas City, MO (June 19, 2025) – 14-year-old Mario Myers lost his life in a I-70 accident Thursday morning.
The authorities received the accident report past 4:30 a.m. on the eastbound lanes of the freeway, near US 40.
Investigators said Myers was struck by an eastbound Chevrolet Malibu while walking in one of the lanes.
Sadly, Myers was killed at the scene.
The Malibu’s driver stopped immediately and cooperated with the investigation.
Troopers said the driver was not injured in the accident.
