1 Hurt in San Diego Pedestrian Crash on Tierrasanta Boulevard

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (November 9, 2020) – Sunday night, a 12-year-old girl suffered injuries in a pedestrian accident on Tierrasanta Boulevard.
 
The incident occurred at 10:48 p.m. in the 10600 block of Tierrasanta Boulevard, San Diego police Officer Robert Heims stated,
 
According to Heims, the girl walked across the street in a crosswalk. However, she crossed the road despite a red pedestrian crossing signal.
 
“An unknown vehicle was westbound on Tierrasanta Boulevard and struck the pedestrian,” he added. Then, the car escaped the crash scene.
 
As a result, medical responders transported the girl to a hospital for treatment of a broken left humerus and broken left femur. The authorities confirmed that her injuries were non-life-threatening.
 
Due to the limited information available, the crash remains under active investigation.
