104th Avenue Vehicle Crash Kills 84-Year-Old Driver [Renton, WA]

Renton, WA (January 28, 2025) – An 84-year-old Kent man was fatally injured following a 104th Avenue vehicle crash Monday morning.

The fatal traffic collision happened minutes past 9:45 a.m. near Southeast 250th Place.

According to the investigators, a BMW SUV was driving recklessly at the intersection and crashed into a Ford Ranger truck that was entering the roadway from a private drive.

Responding officers located the Ford truck on its driver’s side. 

Moreover, Puget Sound Fire paramedics freed the driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, from being trapped.

Despite receiving aid on the scene, the 84-year-old Ford driver succumbed to his injuries while being transported to the hospital.

The driver of the BMW SUV, a 21-year-old Renton resident, remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Investigators collected evidence at the scene to determine the cause of the fatal crash.
