Los Angeles, CA (August 20, 2022) On Friday morning, a 30-year-old woman died in a fiery crash on the northbound side of 101 Freeway.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident happened just before 2:30 a.m. north of Rosemont Avenue.

Reports say that a vehicle lost control for unspecified reasons and collided with the right shoulder embankment.

A concerned individual pulled an injured person from the wreck, afterward, the vehicle caught fire.

The CHP upgraded the incident to a fatal crash after a 30-year-old female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the 30-year-old male driver sustained serious injuries. Authorities did not provide details on his status.
