BREMERTON, WA (June 27, 2019) – A woman died in a car accident on Kitsap Way near Highway 3 on June 26.
 
According to reports, the woman in her 50s suffered some kind of medical episode along Kitsap Way just before noon.
 
Reports revealed that the woman drove to a funeral when she suffered a medical problem. She then lost control of her vehicle, crashed into two cars, drove towards oncoming traffic before crashing near the northbound off-ramp of Highway 3.
 
Police stated that the woman already died before they arrived. Her identity remains unreleased as of this time.
 
The crash closed Kitsap way in both directions for several hours while crews worked at the scene. The police did not release any other information regarding the details of the fatal accident. However, an investigation into the cause is ongoing.
