1 Hospitalized after Snoqualmie Car Crash

SNOQUALMIE, WA (March 3, 2020) – A person suffered critical injuries after a hit-and-run car struck him on Highway 18 on February 27.

According to reports, the victim possibly tried to ask for help for a stopped car near Highway 18 and 90 Freeway interchange.

However, he was struck by a hit-and-run driver instead.

Trooper Rick Johnson revealed that the incident occurred at around 11:40 p.m.

The victim went outside of a disabled vehicle parked in the gore point from eastbound Highway 18 to eastbound I-90, likely attempting to get help, when the driver of a white sedan hit the victim and escaped the crash scene.

“We want people to be vigilant and look for this type of vehicle,” stated Trooper Rick Johnson.

Responders took the victim to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle in critical condition.

Consequently, troopers are actively searching for the white sedan’s driver to face felony hit-and-run charges.

“We have one witness, a semi-driver that observed it, but not close enough to tell what kind of car it was or to get a license plate,” Johnson added.

The authorities are encouraging anyone with information about the collision to contact the Washington State Patrol.

Driving recklessly may lead to negative outcomes. Therefore, make sure to always follow the traffic rules to avoid causing accidents and injuries.
