1 Hospitalized after Las Vegas Single-Vehicle Crash on Durango Drive
LAS VEGAS, NV (June 27, 2019) – A man sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash on Durango Drive on June 20.
The officers came to the scene about 3:40 a.m. on Durango Drive and Boseck Drive, just north of Charleston Boulevard, Lt. Adrian Beas with LVMPD revealed. The investigation determined that the car went off the road and struck a tree.
According to LVMD, investigators believed that a southbound 2016 Hyundai Accent Durango drove across the northbound lanes. The vehicle then struck a traffic island and flew into the sky.
Police added that the vehicle struck a tree on the southeast corner of the intersection. Meanwhile, the driver, who didn’t wear a seatbelt, sustained significant injuries.
The 24-year-old male driver from Las Vegas went to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Later that morning, authorities listed him in critical condition.
Authorities believed that impairment played a role in the crash.
