1 Seriously Injured in Rollover Crash on Highway 101 [Refugio, CA]

Person Hospitalized after Vehicle Overturns near Refugio State Beach

 
REFUGIO, CA (July 3, 2019) – A person suffered injuries Wednesday evening in a rollover crash on Highway 101.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near Refugio State Beach, shortly before 9:30 PM. Due to unknown reasons, a northbound Toyota Solara overturned several times and came to rest blocking the two right-hand lanes.
 
An AMR ambulance transported the victim to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with serious injuries. Authorities did not provide updates on the victim’s current condition.
 
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash. Investigators encourage witnesses to cooperate as soon as possible. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
