CATHEDRAL CITY, CA (July 4, 2019) – A person suffered serious injuries in a head-on crash on Mountain View Road on July 3.
 
A truck and sedan collided about 7:15 a.m. on Mountain View Road, north of Varner Road. The incident occurred north of 10 Freeway between Cathedral City and Desert Hot Springs.
 
The collision caused one of the vehicles to roll over. One of the occupants sustained a serious arm injury.
 
The crash also blocked the roadway but reopened by around 8:30 a.m. Police did not release any additional information regarding the accident at this time. However, a thorough investigation into the cause of the accident or who is at fault is underway.
