1 Injured in Castaic Rollover Crash near Templin Highway on 5 Freeway

 
CASTAIC, CA (March 5, 2020) – Tuesday afternoon, an unidentified victim was trapped inside a vehicle following a rollover crash on 5 Freeway.
 
First responders received the report of around 2:55 p.m., just north of Castaic. Dispatchers arrived on the northbound lanes of the 5 Freeway near Templin Highway.
 
Officers located a pickup truck rolled over on its roof upon arrival. Responding units then reported that a person was stuck inside the vehicle shortly after.
 
Fire officials later reported that the victim had self-extricated themselves from the vehicle. They also dispatched a helicopter to the scene around 3:10 p.m.
 
Furthermore, the crash led to the temporary closure of all northbound lanes of the 5 Freeway at Templin Highway around 3:15 p.m. However, the roadway has since reopened.
 
Meanwhile, the victim’s condition remains unknown as of this time. More information will soon be released.
