Police Investigate Fatal Crash on Nimitz Boulevard in San Diego

San Diego, CA (December 12, 2024) – A man lost his life in a vehicle crash early Thursday morning on Nimitz Boulevard.

Around 6:15 a.m., San Diego Police responded to a report of a serious injury from a collision on Nimitz Boulevard near Chatsworth Boulevard. 

The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene, but authorities have not confirmed whether he was a driver or a pedestrian. 

Police have also withheld his identity and details about the other driver involved.

The crash temporarily closed a portion of Nimitz Boulevard, but the road reopened by 9:30 a.m. 

Police are actively investigating the circumstances leading to the fatal crash.
