1 Killed and 1 Hospitalized in Monterey Park Traffic Accident on South Atlantic Boulevard

MONTEREY PARK, CA (October 21, 2021) – On Wednesday, a person died in a solo crash on South Atlantic Boulevard.

According to Sgt. Peter Yung of the Monterey Park Police Department, the incident took place at around 12:09 a.m.

Moreover, witnesses called in to report the scene at the 100 block of South Atlantic Boulevard.

Reports revealed that a vehicle struck a building and then overturned.

Furthermore, responders extricated one person trapped inside a vehicle. Then, responders transported the patient to a hospital with critical injuries.

Moreover, the force of the crash ejected a man from the vehicle. Authorities declared that person dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the deadly accident closed Atlantic Boulevard between Garvey Avenue and Newmark Avenue.

The incident remains under investigation.
