AUSTIN, TX (March 13, 2025) – Wednesday night, a person died in a brutal auto accident on US 290 near Berkman Drive.

The incident happened just after 6:00 p.m. on eastbound US 290 near Berkman Drive.

 Paramedics confirmed one adult had died at the scene, while another was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities have not released the identities of those involved, and the cause of the crash is still under investigation.

The Texas Department of Transportation reports that all eastbound lanes remain closed, along with the I-35 flyovers to US 290. Drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes while the investigation is ongoing.
