CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (July 4, 2021) – Monday, a person died in a crash on Birdcage Street near Sunhill Drive.
 
According to reports, the vehicle crash occurred on Birdcage Street between Sunhill Drive and Chancery Court.
 
As a driver headed north on Birdcage Street, a vehicle driving in the opposite direction turned in front of the vehicle. Thus, the vehicle went off the road and crashed into a tree head-on.
 
The authorities confirmed that the driver of the car that struck the tree died at the scene. Moreover, their identity remains undisclosed.
 
Meanwhile, the other vehicle’s driver remained at the scene and has been cooperative with officers.
 
Also, the CHP does not believe that DUI or speed played a role in the crash.
