1 Dead and 2 Hurt in Avondale Pickup Truck vs Sedan Accident on Avondale Boulevard and Broadway Road

 
AVONDALE, AZ (May 27, 2021) – Wednesday afternoon, a person died and two others suffered injuries in a crash on Avondale Boulevard and Broadway Road.
 
The crash between a pickup truck and a sedan occurred at about 12:15 p.m. The incident happened at the intersection of Avondale Boulevard and Broadway Road.
 
As a result of the crash, the pickup truck driver succumbed to injuries, Meanwhile, the 17-year-old driver and 17-year-old passenger required hospitalization. Responders took them to the Abrazo West Campus hospital in Goodyear.
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed their conditions.
 
Meanwhile, an aerial video revealed that the sedan continued driving after the crash. Then, it drove into a patch of grass before crashing into a brick wall.
 
Debris was scattered in the intersection. Also, the impact damaged the truck’s frame and body. On the other hand, the cab landed upside down 20 yards away in the grass.
 
Due to the crash, the authorities closed the intersection for hours.
 
The crash remains under active investigation.
