CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (September 27, 2021) – Sunday night, a person died in a pedestrian crash on Interstate 680 near Marina Vista Avenue.
 
According to Contra Costa CHP, the incident happened at around 8:00 p.m. Moreover, it occurred on southbound Interstate 680, north of Marina Vista Avenue.
 
Reports revealed that a white Toyota sedan struck a pedestrian. The crash happened while the pedestrian was in the roadway for unknown reasons. After the crash, the Toyota driver remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.
 
Furthermore, officials confirmed that the pedestrian died in the incident.
 
Meanwhile, CHP issued a SigAlert at around 8:12 p.m. which closed all southbound lanes of Interstate 680.
