1 Person Dead, Another Injured in Head-on Crash on Highway 145 [Coalinga, CA]

COALINGA, CA (February 24, 2021) – Tuesday evening, a person died while another one sustained injuries in a head-on crash on Highway 145.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, at around 6:00 p.m., a southbound SUV traveled on Highway 145. Then, it veered towards the northbound lanes and collided with a pickup truck head-on.
 
Afterward, responders pronounced the pickup driver dead on the scene. Meanwhile, responders rushed the female driver of the SUV to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno after sustaining moderate injuries.
 
Furthermore, officers closed the on-ramp and off-ramp on Highway 145 near I-5 for a few hours to give way to the investigation.
