1 Killed and 1 Hospitalized in Fillmore Auto Accident on Sycamore Road near Highway 126

 
FILLMORE, CA (May 31, 2021) – Sunday evening, a person died in a vehicle crash on Sycamore Road near Highway 126.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol and Ventura County Fire Department, the incident happened at around 5:00 p.m. Moreover, the fatal crash occurred on Sycamore Road, north of Highway 126.
 
Reports revealed that a vehicle, possibly a pickup truck, crashed into a power pole. The force of the crash severed the power pole.
 
Furthermore, responders pronounced a victim trapped inside a vehicle, dead at the scene. Also, a second person managed to exit the vehicle. Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital for treatment.
 
Moreover, CHP closed Sycamore Road at the 126 to give way to responders.
 
Meanwhile, Southern California Edison representatives rushed to the scene to fix the severed power pole.
 
Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies worked to manage the traffic in the area.
