1 Killed and 1 Hospitalized in King County Accident on State Route 900 near Issaquah

 
KING COUNTY, WA (June 8, 2021) – Monday morning, a person died in a head-on crash on State Route 900 near Issaquah.
 
According to Washington State Patrol Sgt. Darin Foster, the incident happened at around 4:00 a.m. Moreover, it occurred on State Route 900, between Issaquah and Renton.
 
Reports revealed that a small gray sedan and a box truck collided head-on. The events leading to the crash are still unclear as of this moment, Foster added.
 
Furthermore, the responder pronounced the 37-year-old Bellevue male sedan driver dead at the scene. Also, the paramedics transported the 33-year-old female passenger of the sedan to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
 
“There are too many things right now for us to be able to say exactly what happened, but he was definitely in the oncoming lane and the truck didn’t have any place to go,” said Sgt. Darin Foster.
 
Meanwhile, the box truck driver suffered no injuries in the crash.
 
Moreover, officials said that it is still unknown if impairment played a role in the crash.
 
All roads have long since reopened.
