PHELAN, CA (June 11, 2020) – On Wednesday morning, a person was airlifted after a head-on crash on Highway 138 near Sheep Creek.
 
The incident occurred at around 8:14 a.m. on Highway 138 between Sheep Creek Road and Highway 2.
 
When the San Bernardino County Fire arrived, they found a GMC with moderate front-end damage and a minivan with major front-end damage.
 
According to an emergency person, one person suffered major injuries. Meanwhile, four other people suffered less critical injuries.
 
Moreover, a helicopter came to the crash scene near the Stater Bros Shopping Center. It airlifted the critically injured person to an out of area trauma center.
 
Furthermore, the incident blocked eastbound (heading towards the 15 Freeway) on Highway 138.
 
The California Highway Patrol continues to spearhead the crash investigation.
