PALMDALE, CA (September 28, 2020) – Sunday night, a person was airlifted following a crash on East Avenue and 51st Street.
 
The two-vehicle crash happened at 11:30 p.m. on East Avenue S and 51st Street East. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Palmdale Station informed the firefighters about the crash.
 
A County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Michael Pittman revealed that a car struck a pole. As a result, a person was trapped inside.
 
Meanwhile, witnesses confirmed that the crash was severe that it left the pole to be split in half.
 
Furthermore, the authorities managed to safely remove the victim from the vehicle by 12:10 a.m.
 
Afterward, the crews dispatched a helicopter to transport the patient to a local hospital.
