Teenage Driver Detained After DUI Crash on I-17 in Phoenix

 
Phoenix, AZ (June 17, 2020) – On Monday, a female pedestrian suffered injuries form a hit-and-run accident on the I-17 off-ramp.
 
The incident occurred when a teen drove a car with three teen passengers at around 2 a.m.
 
The car then hit a wall on the Bethany Home Road off-ramp and struck a female pedestrian, according to spokesman Bart Graves.
 
The medics rushed the woman from the accident on I-17 to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the driver attempted to flee the scene, but his car then struck a concrete barrier.
 
Troopers detained all four teens involved in the accident. The driver will be charged with DUI, aggravated assault, and fleeing the scene of a serious collision.
