Pedestrian Died After Being Hit by a Car on Fair Oaks Boulevard

Sacramento, CA (June 11, 2020) – On Sunday, a 59-year-old pedestrian was struck by a Ford Fusion eastbound on Fair Oaks Boulevard and New York Avenue shortly after 9 p.m.

CHP’s said the victim was rushed by an ambulance to a hospital with serious injuries. However, he was pronounced dead early Monday.

On the other hand, the driver, who is a 43-year-old Sacramento woman, remained uninjured and cooperated with the investigation.

She said the victim was walking on a dark stretch of Fair Oaks Boulevard when he was hit, according to CHP.

Meanwhile, CHP does not suspect she was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. No one has been arrested for this incident thus far.

Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the deceased’s identity pending notification of family.
