Pedestrian Struck and Killed While Crossing El Cajon Street
El Cajon, CA (July 9, 2020) – On Thursday, a man was struck and killed in a pedestrian accident on El Cajon Street.
The fatal crash happened at around 3:30 p.m. when he tried to cross the street near the intersection of North Second Street and East Madison Avenue.
Investigators said the victim attempted to cross the street from west to east outside a crosswalk. Just then, he was hit by a Ford F-150 traveling southbound in the left-hand turn lane.
Rescuers rushed the pedestrian to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, the Ford driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Alcohol was not believed to have been a factor in the crash.

The Aftermath of Fatal Road Accident
“The aftermath of tragic accidents can make everything difficult for a family. The last thing most families want to deal with is piles of paperwork, questions from insurance companies or defense attorneys, or trying to obtain police reports. Grieving and working on legal claims don’t exactly go hand in hand. Therefore, hiring an experienced attorney will provide you with peace of mind that you have a fighter in your corner. Having legal representation after such a traumatic event will provide your family the space to heal while ensuring that justice is brought to your loved one,” says Mark Sweet, a seasoned attorney at Sweet Lawyers.
