1 Dead in Las Vegas Motorcycle Collision
LAS VEGAS, NV (December 17, 2019) – A person died in a truck and motorcycle collision on Highway 95 near Decatur Boulevard on December 13.
According to NHP Trooper Jason Buratczuk, the incident occurred at about 11:42 a.m on US 95 southbound near Decatur Boulevard.
The collision involved a black motorcycle and a white Dodge truck. Reports revealed that the rider was in the HOV lane when his motorcycle started having mechanical problems. As the rider attempted to get over the right shoulder, his motorcycle stopped in the middle lane. Meanwhile, the Dodge truck driver hit her brakes but couldn’t stop in time.
She stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police. The authorities also ruled out intoxication as a factor in the collision.
Meanwhile, responders took the motorcyclist to University Medical Center. However, he later succumbed to his injuries. His identity remains unreleased due to pending family notification.
The authorities shut down three lanes during the investigation.
