RIVERSIDE, CA (February 26, 2023) – Early Saturday morning, a person died in a pedestrian crash on Arlington Avenue and Via San Jose.
 
The incident happened at about 5:00 a.m. on Arlington Avenue and Via San Jose in Riverdale.
 
The Riverside Police Department revealed that a black Chevrolet sedan traveled west on Arlington Avenue. Then, it hit the female pedestrian as she walked in the roadway at the intersection.
 
Then, responders transported the patient to Riverside Community Hospital where she later succumbed to injuries. At this time, her identity remained undisclosed due to pending family notification.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the involved vehicle suffered no injuries in the crash. Officers noted that the driver has been cooperative with the investigation.
