ESCONDIDO, CA (August 3, 2020) – Saturday afternoon, a person died in a motorcycle crash on Birch Avenue near Escondido.
 
The crash between a motorcycle and an SUV happened at 4:00 p.m. on Birch Avenue and Bear Valley Parkway. According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred in an unincorporated area outside Escondido.
 
The fatal incident involved an Acura MDX SUV and a motorcycle. However, it’s unclear whether the deceased rode the motorcycle or the SUV.
 
Moreover, the crash led to the shut down of northbound Bear Valley at Idaho Avenue. Also, the authorities diverted the traffic on southbound Bear Valley to Birch Avenue.
