SACRAMENTO, CA (November 24, 2022) – Wednesday morning, a person died in an Interstate 5 pedestrian crash in Sacramento.
 
The incident happened just after midnight on the on-ramp to the northbound side of Interstate 5.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Ford Mustang spotted a pedestrian running across the roadway. Then, the Mustang driver attempted to slow down and swerved to avoid hitting the pedestrian but to no avail.
 
Moreover, responders from the Sacramento Fire Department pronounced the victim, believed to be a transient, dead at the scene.
 
Furthermore, the 32-year-old male driver of the Mustang remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.
 
Meanwhile, the fatal crash remained under investigation.
