GLENDALE, AZ (April 20, 2025) – Friday night, a person died in a horrific multi-vehicle crash on Loop 303 near Bethany Home Road.

The incident involving six vehicles happened just after 9:30 p.m. on the southbound side of Loop 303 before Bethany Home Road exit.

An ADOT traffic camera showed flames, smoke, and explosions at the crash site.

The Department of Public Safety confirmed one person was killed. It’s still unclear how many others were injured.

Troopers are still investigating what led to the crash.

Traffic was backed up for miles Friday night, but the freeway reopened early Saturday. Northbound lanes were not affected.
