CHP Investigates Fatal Crash on Highway 395 in Bakersfield

Bakersfield, CA (April 3, 2025) – A crash on Highway 395 near Randsburg early Thursday morning left at least one person dead.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the collision occurred around 4:09 a.m. when a semi-truck and a sedan crashed head-on in the southbound lanes near Hoffman Road.

Authorities closed the southbound lanes following the crash. 

The coroner’s office responded to the scene, but officials have not yet confirmed the identity of the deceased or whether anyone else sustained injuries.
