1 Dead in Burleson County Pedestrian Accident on Highway 36 and Lyons
BURLESON COUNTY, TX (February 6, 2025) – Tuesday afternoon, a person died in a brutal pedestrian crash on Highway 36 and Lyons.
The incident happened at about 1:30 p.m. when a pickup truck traveled north on Highway 36, north of Lyons. Then, it veered to avoid a head-on crash with another driver heading south in the northbound lane.
The driver struck a pedestrian walking on the northbound shoulder. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene and has not yet been identified. DPS stated the victim was from out of state.
While the investigation continues, the pickup driver is not currently facing charges.
Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
