1 Dead in San Diego Bicycle Crash on Beyer Way and Palm Avenue

SAN DIEGO, CA (May 21, 2025) – Saturday afternoon, a brutal bicycle accident on Beyer Way and Palm Avenue killed 1 person.

The incident happened at about 1:44 p.m. on northbound Beyer Way and Palm Avenue.

According to reports, a male driver of the Lexus hit a male bicyclist on Beyer Way towards the City of Chula Vista. 

As a result, the victim sustained major head trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, reports said that the cyclist was allegedly going downhill. However, he didn’t look back as he changed lanes. Then, he was hit.

Reports said that damage and blood were found on the car’s passenger side.

Moreover, the crash shut down Beyer Way to all traffic but has since reopened.

Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
