Man Dies After 2-Vehicle Crash on Airport Boulevard in Sacramento

Sacramento, CA (January 2, 2025) – 87-year-old Sacramento man died in a two-vehicle crash on Airport Boulevard.

Reportedly, a man lost his life in a car crash near the Sacramento International Airport.

The California Highway Patrol reported that the collision occurred at approximately 12:47 a.m. at the Airport Boulevard off-ramp on northbound I-5. A Ford F-350 collided with a GMC Yukon, causing the F-350 to swerve through a chain-link fence.

The driver of the Yukon, an 87-year-old Sacramento man, was pronounced dead at the scene by Sacramento Fire officials.

The driver of the Ford F-350, a 32-year-old man from Yuba City, was identified by CHP.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but CHP stated that driving under the influence is not believed to be a factor.
